Our hearing profiles are nearly as unique as our fingerprints. NuraLoop Adaptive Earphones take this into account. They fire off a sequence of sounds when you first put them on, using tiny microphones, an algorithm that's been proven in over-ear headphones, and Otoacoustic emissions to measure what your brain hears and adjust the sound to match.
The result is a sound signature that's customised to your own anatomy, letting you hear details you'd miss otherwise. They also offer active noise-cancellation, a "social mode" that lets you hear ambient noise without removing them from your ears, and touch controls. Expect them to hit store shelves later this year.
